Festival Experience

The Qasr al Hosn Festival 2014 gave visitors an interactive experience. For the first time, they could take a guided tour inside the fort, to help them understand the significance of the historic fort and its unique place in Abu Dhabi’s development.

The guided tours also gave visitors a first look behind the scenes at the delicate conservation project being carried out.

Visitors entered a lively hub of workshops, cultural demonstrations and interactive learning experiences led by professional curators, artisans and experts. There was also performing arts including music, story-telling and poetry.

A festival highlight was Cavalia at Qasr al Hosn, an equestrian and artistic show created by Cirque du Soleil co-founder Normand Latourelle and adapted specially for Qasr al Hosn Festival.
